A necessary step in professional ski tuning is removing the sidewall. After removing the sidewall, the steel edge can be filed more easily and precisely. We recommend this step, especially when working on the edge with a file. It is sufficient to remove the sidewall a maximum of twice a year. This step is not absolutely necessary when grinding ski edges with the electric ski edge grinding device ES 2000PLUS from raze-cat.
