Frequently asked questions:
-
How many skis can I grind before I have to change the belt?
You can grind about 3-4 pairs of skis/boards with one belt. You really shouldn't use a belt longer because the grinding quality naturally decreases from time to time.
- Do I have to remove the sidewall before grinding?
This is not a strictly necessary step but is recommended to reduce dust formation. A plus: The grinding belts last a bit longer as a result.
-
Do I not remove too much edge when grinding with the machine?
No, don't worry. The material removal per grinding pass is in the hundredths of a millimeter range, so you don't have to be afraid of removing too much from your edges.
-
Is it enough for "normal use" (sporty riding style, no racing ambitions) to grind the skis with the 120 and 240 grit?
Yes, absolutely! With the combination of these two grinding belts, you are perfectly equipped.
