Wax irons that are specifically designed for ski and snowboard surfaces keep the temperature constant. Household irons are not suitable for this and can cause damage to the covering. And make sure to always sand your ski edges first before waxing and then clean the bases of your ski or snowboard, ideally with a bronze brush.
