How to properly maintain your ES 2000PLUS ski edge grinder for a long and powerful service life
Anyone who works extensively with the ES 2000PLUS from raze-cat knows: This ski edge grinding machine delivers top results—and continues to do so when properly maintained. Every grinding operation produces grinding dust that settles in and around the machine. If this dust is not removed regularly, it can accumulate in the electronics and, in the worst case, cause a short circuit.
To ensure that your ES 2000PLUS ski edge grinder (+ previous models) always runs reliably, you should take a few minutes for regular cleaning.
🧽 How to clean your ES 2000PLUS properly
After each use, simply brush the machine off thoroughly with a hand brush or paintbrush. Make sure to remove all dust deposits—especially around ventilation slots and moving parts. Unplug the power cord before cleaning!
⚠️ Important: Do not use compressed air!
Although it may seem tempting to simply “blow away” the dust, this can force fine dust even further into the inside of the machine—exactly where you do not want it.
🧲 Less dust in the device with our new magnetic strip
To make cleaning even easier, you can now equip the ES 2000PLUS with our innovative magnetic strip.
It catches up to approximately 70% of the grinding dust and securely holds it before it can enter the machine.
Cleaning is incredibly easy:

This keeps the electronics optimally protected and reduces the risk of dust deposits inside to a minimum.
🔧 Tip: Remove the sidewall before grinding
An additional step to reduce dust generation is to remove the sidewall of your ski before grinding. This removes less plastic during grinding, resulting in less dust. For this step, we recommend the sidewall planer.
This is not strictly necessary, but it is recommended if you want to work as cleanly and with as little dust as possible.
