How many skis can I grind before I need to change the grinding belt?
You can grind about 3-4 pairs of skis/boards with one belt. You really shouldn’t use a belt any longer, as the grinding quality naturally decreases with each use.
Do I need to remove the sidewall before grinding?
This is not a mandatory step, but it is recommended to reduce dust formation. A bonus: the grinding belts last a bit longer as a result.
Won't I remove too much edge when grinding with the machine?
No, don’t worry. The material removed per grinding pass is in the hundredths of a millimeter range, so you don’t have to fear removing too much of your edges.
