Frequently asked questions:
-
How many skis can I grind before I have to change the sanding belt?
You can grind about 3-4 pairs of skis/boards with one sanding belt. You really shouldn't use a sanding belt longer than that, as the grinding quality naturally decreases from time to time.
- Do I have to remove the sidewall before grinding?
This is not a strictly necessary step, but it is recommended to reduce the formation of dust. A plus point: The sanding belts last a bit longer as a result.
-
Won't I remove too much edge when grinding with the machine?
No, don't worry. The material removal per grinding pass is in the hundredth of a millimeter range, so you don't have to fear removing too much of your edges.
-
Is it sufficient for "normal use" (sporty riding style, no racing ambitions) to grind the skis with the 120 and 240 grit?
Yes, absolutely! With the combination of these two sanding belts, you are well equipped.
